Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her portrayals as the main character in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. She was born to a psychologist and an ice cream store owner, McCormack hails from a family that has no connection to the world of entertainment. After the divorce of her parents, McCormack went to Trinity College Hartford, Connecticut. In the year 1990, following finishing her studies at Wardlaw-Hartridge School with a BA in English, she was awarded a degree. When she was just 12 the stage journey began when she performed in "Amahl, as well as the Night Visitors" an opera for Christmas. As she continued her career in the theatre, she eventually gained roles for both films and television. The versatility of McCormack is well-known and is still widely recognized. McCormack has three daughters along and a husband who is a producer/director Michael Morris.
